Population Services of Kenya

We have journeyed with the Population Services of Kenya (PSK) over the years and handled various projects for them.

In collaboration with Brain Wave Communications our photographer was able to tour the counties of Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, Mombasa, Kwale, Hola, Isiolo, Marsabit, and Samburu to photo document the works PSK is doing in the field of family planning across these counties.

A documentary for Population Services Kenya that highlighted and celebrated men’s role in the community in preventing spread of malaria in young infants and children under 5 years. The documentary highlighted male champions “Shujaas” who took care of their wives during their pregnancy journey taking an active role in their Maternal Health whilst demystifying the role of men in their wives lives during their pregnancy journey as per their cultures.

ASBC was the first Africa Social Behavioral Change Conference by Population Services Kenya held in Nairobi in 2019. The aim was to bring social behavior change experts from across the African continent to discuss and examine the role behavior change plays in achieving health impact at national and regional levels. Neolight was tasked with documenting the three day event through short highlight video capturing panel discussions, Drum talks and break out room sessions that occurred later in the day.

Our client Population Services Kenya uses an evidence-based Social Behavior Change (SBC) approach that allows for a deeper understanding of the underlying issues preventing a target group from adopting healthy behaviors. With this in mind they wanted to give a deeper understanding of the concept and thereby tasked us in creating a documentary highlighting social behavior change model approach in their various programs and projects. The documentary focuses on the gatekeepers of these areas in the organization and how SBC has fundamentally influenced their department's approach in providing health solutions. The documentary also served as an opener to the ASBC 2019 Conference enlightening the attendees of the event on practical problems and solutions.

Population Services Kenya incentives its employees through the Employee Value Proposition (EVP). EVP is the full array of elements PS Kenya delivers to its employees in return for the contribution they make. It is everything that matters to the employees about their work and PS Kenya and the things they brag about in their neighbourhood.

The EVP encompasses the total rewards, learning and development opportunities, flexible work arrangements and other work related programs. Neolight was tasked with creating a short promotional video talking to its various employees who described their work experience, the 4 pillars of EVP and why they love working at Population Services Kenya.
